Sun Setting On DL's Career?

Sun Setting On DL's Career?

Dr DL Ravindra Reddy! For those familiar with Rayalaseema politics, this is a name that needs no introduction.

The 5- time MLA from Mydukur Assembly segment in Kadapa has reportedly decided to contest the ensuing Assembly polls as an independent.

Ravindra Reddy expressed his desire to join the YSRCP provided he got the ticket from Mydukuru. However, the proposal failed after YS Jagan apparently made it clear that sitting MLA Raghu Rami Reddy would represent the Party again.

Ravindra Reddy then approached Chandrababu Naidu who expressed his helplessness as he had confirmed the TDP Mydukur ticket to TTD Chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav. This has left Ravindra Reddy with no other alternative except the Jana Sena.

Ravindra Reddy has decided he would be better off contesting as an independent than on a Jana Sena ticket.

Ironically, he was first elected as an independent MLA in 1978 from Mydukur. So, is it the beginning of a new phase for Ravindra Reddy or the beginning of the end for him?

His predicament at present is not unlike that of Vangaveeti Radha Krishna.
