Strategy team member was Raj Kasireddy's benami?

Raj Kasireddy, the prime accused in the alleged liquor scam that occurred during the YSR Congress Party regime, is reported to have made substantial illegal gains and invested the money in various properties — some purchased directly by him, and others in the names of proxies.

Documents obtained by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Andhra Pradesh Police reveal that Kasireddy amassed significant wealth and acquired properties through his associates, Paila Dileep and B Chanakya.

According to recent reports, Kasireddy is also believed to have entrusted a portion of his illicit earnings to a relatively unknown female member of the YSR Congress Party’s political strategy team, which operated during the last elections.

This woman allegedly managed the cash and oversaw its investment in various companies, following Kasireddy’s instructions. For her services, she was reportedly paid around ₹5 lakh per month, sources said.

It has also been revealed that the SIT summoned and questioned her for several hours to gather information about Kasireddy’s financial dealings before releasing her.

Sources added that the SIT did not find any direct link between her and the liquor scam at that point.

However, authorities are said to be closely monitoring her financial transactions and may establish her connection with Kasireddy as the investigation progresses.
