Sharmila language intolerable, says Sajjala

YSR Congress party, which has been maintaining utmost restraint in making any comments against Y S Sharmila just because she happens to be the sister of party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, has begun counter-attacking her.

Reacting strongly to her speech soon after she took over as the Andhra Congress president on Sunday, YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy lashed out at Sharmila, saying she had betrayed her own family by joining hands with the Congress.

“The tone and tenor of Sharmila’s speech is not acceptable to us. We can’t tolerate such an outburst against Jagan and we are extremely pained at her language used against her own brother,” Sajjala said.

He reminded that everybody knew how the Congress had done tremendous harm to the state and also YSR family.

“The Congress joined hands with Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu in foisting false cases against Jagan and put him in jail. It was the Congress party which included YSR’s name in the charge-sheet against Jagan,” he alleged.

Stating that Sharmila had little knowledge about the Congress party’s culture and functioning, the YSRCP leader said it was unfortunate that after joining the Congress, she had changed her slang and language.

“The Congress is not in existence in the state. She cannot do anything to revive it,” he said.

Another YSRCP general secretary V Vijay Sai Reddy said people won’t fall into the trap of the Congress leadership.

“In 2004 and 2009, AP played a pivotal role in Congress forming a govt. at the Centre. However, when it was time to reciprocate, AP’s needs were overlooked by the Congress. The people of AP have learned a tough lesson, they will for once trust a snake but not the Congress,” he tweeted.
