Rayapati brothers to quit TDP, join YSRC?

The political equations in Andhra Pradesh are undergoing rapid changes with every passing day, as leaders of a political party are taking quick decision to defect to the royal party, after realising that they are not going to get the tickets in their original party.

The latest in this category is Telugu Desam Party MP from Narsaraopet parliamentary constituency in Guntur district Rayapati Sambasiva Rao.

He, along with his brother Rayapati Srinivas, former MLC and ex-chairman of Guntur Zilla Parishad, is likely to quit the party and join the YSR Congress party shortly.

Apparently, the TDP high command has denied the request of Rayapti for retaining him as the candidate for Narsaraopet Lok Sabha constituency and giving party ticket to his brother from Sattenapalli assembly constituency.

After making repeated appeals to the high command, Rayapati realised that Naidu will not succumb to any pressures. He held a meeting of his party workers and followers in Guntur to decide his future course of action.

On coming to know that Rayapati brothers are upset with the TDP leadership, YSRC leaders are understood to have contacted him and assured of support from YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Rayapati brothers are presently discussing with their followers and are likely to take a decision in a day or two.
