“Ekkada Neggalo Kaadu, Ekkada Taggalo Telisinavade Nijamaina Nayakudu” -- remember this popular dialogue in power star Pawan Kalyan’s blockbuster film “Attarintiki Daredi?”
Rebel YSR Congress party MP from Narasapuram Kanumuru Raghurama Krishnam Raju on Wednesday repeated this dialogue, after he accepted the notices served on him by the Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) police, hours after he landed in his Hyderabad residence.
Initially, the CID authorities asked him to appear before the CID office at Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Thursday, but his lawyers told them that it would not be possible to attend at such a short notice, as he was going to Bhimavaram for Sankranti festival. Moreover, his health also would not permit him
Later, the authorities modified the notice and asked him to be present at the CID office at Mangalagiri on Monday. Raju accepted the notice and agreed to appear before the CID.
“I am not going to resist the summons. I am a great fan of power star Pawan Kalyan. So, I follow his dictum – a leader is one who knows where to yield, not where to win,” he said.
Raju’s dialogue is being interpreted in the social media as an attempt to pamper the Jana Sena Party chief in the wake of a possible by-election to Narasapuram Lok Sabha seat after his resignation.
He is likely to contest the by-election on the BJP ticket and he is seeking support from the Jana Sena and the Telugu Desam Party.
Stating that he would take a decision after February 5, the rebel MP said the people were disgusted with the rule of Jagan Mohan Reddy and called upon all the opposition parties to come together.
“Let us see who will be the hero and who will be the villain,” he said.
Raju demanded that there should be CCTV cameras at the time of the CID police questioning him.
“Last time, the authorities removed the CCTV cameras and tortured me physically, only to appease chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy,” he alleged.
