Raghurama Raju fears threat to his life

The murder of a Telugu Desam Party leader Thota Chandraiah at Gundlapadu village in Macherla assembly constituency of Guntur district, seems to have created panic in rebel YSR Congress party MP from Narasapuram constituency Kanumuru Raghurama Krishnam Raju.

Raju, who fled to New Delhi from Hyderabad fearing arrest by the Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department police a couple of days ago, has gone into a sort of hallucination, fearing that like the TDP leader, he, too, might be killed by the YSRCP leaders.

The rebel MP alleged that there is a conspiracy to eliminate him by engaging hired goons from Jharkhand.

“In the regime of chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, if he doesn’t like a system, it will be removed and if he doesn’t like a person, he will be eliminated,” he said.

He pointed out that TDP leader was hacked to death in Guntur district for opposing the YSRC in his village.

“I have reliable information that the YSRC people are planning to eliminate me with the help of hired assassins from Jharkhand, since I am opposing Jagan. I am going to write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi with all the details,” Raju said.

The MP requested Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla to act on his complaint against CID chief Sunil Kumar as fast as he had responded in the case of the arrest of Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay.

“The Jagan government has been blatantly misusing the police forces to harass the opposition party leaders,” he alleged.
