Pawan Adamant On Tirupati LS Seat?

Pawan Adamant On Tirupati LS Seat?

Contrary to the talk that power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has surrendered to the Bharatiya Janata Party completely, latest reports indicate that he has started asserting his position in the alliance.

The Jana Sena chief is learnt to have put his foot down firmly to the claim of the BJP for the Tirupati Lok Sabha seat, byelections for which are scheduled to be held in a few weeks.

At a meeting held between him and senior BJP leaders like party national general secretary Daggubati Purandeshwari, party state unit president Somu Veerraju and BJP national in-charge of Andhra affairs V Muralidharan and others on Sunday evening, Pawan reportedly told them that the Jana Sena was keen on contesting the Tirupati by-elections.

The talks went on till 3 am on Monday morning, but the BJP leaders failed to convince him to opt out from the race. As a result, they came out and told him that they would get back to him after discussing among themselves.

Later Monday afternoon, the BJP leaders went into huddle. As they failed to convince him to drop out from race, they have only two options: either to break the alliance with Pawan Kalyan or drop out from the contest in favour of Jana Sena candidate.

It remains to be seen what decision they would take.
