Naidu to present development agenda in manifesto-2

Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who released the part-1 of the party’s election manifesto nearly a year before the next assembly elections, is expect to surprise the political rivals with the part-2 of the manifesto, to be released by Dasara festival.

In the part-1, Naidu came up with a series of welfare schemes which he claimed, would be much better than Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Navaratnalu, to attract various sections of people.

But the part-II would have the real surprise – it would be completely development focused. He will come up with a series of initiatives to improve the state’s economic health, besides announcing schemes that would generate employment and improve the state infrastructure.

“While Jagan’s manifesto is entirely aimed at distributing money to the people through various schemes including direct benefit transfer schemes, the TDP manifesto would be a combination of development and welfare,” an analyst said.

He said the TDP wants to show that there is no need for making the state bankrupt or burden it heavily with borrowings in implementing the welfare schemes, but it could be done by generating wealth within the state.

“Naidu would explain to the people how he could generate wealth during his regime in combined Andhra Pradesh by attracting investments, creating job and fuel he economic growth. Andhra Pradesh has vast resources, which would generate huge wealth if properly exploited,” sources said.
