Naidu, Pawan unfit for politics, says Jagan

Naidu, Pawan unfit for politics, says Jagan

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and his adopted son – Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan don’t deserve to be in politics, as they have no intention of serving the people, but to create hurdles for the government that is doing good for the people.

This was the observation made by YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, while addressing a public meeting at Chenne Kothapalli of Satya Sai district on Tuesday.

The public meeting was part of Jagan’s strategy to reach out to people in the name of implementing his welfare schemes, while using the occasion to take a dig at the opposition parties.

“Unlike in the past, there is no way the government could cheat the people. We have seen how the previous Chandrababu Naidu government had backtracked on the promises made to the farmers without bothering about their plight. Does he deserve to be in politics?” he asked.

Turning his ire on Pawan Kalyan, the chief minister said this adopted son of Naidu always comes forward to do what is good for Chandrababu Naidu. “Whenever we take up any programme for the welfare of people, these two leaders, along with Eenadu, Andhra Jyothy and TV-5, plunge into action and mislead the people by launching a smear campaign,” he alleged.

Jagan wondered how Pawan Kalyan would consider Naidu, who had never implemented any of his promises, as a good and efficient leader. “How can he be eligible to be in politics?” he asked.

Asking the people to deeply study whose rule was better, Jagan said he was seeking the blessings of the people again only after implementing all the promises made in the manifesto.

Lambasting the opposition TDP and Jana Sena, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that they were deliberatily taking up malicious propaganda to mislead the public and opined that the opposition and its allied parties have no morale to continue in the politics.

Referring to Pawan Kalyan, he said that he couldn’t show a single family of farmers with Pattadar Passbook that was left out by the government without paying compensation upon losing the breadwinner.

He said that the government is paying Rs 7,00,000 as compensation even to the families of the tenant farmers with CCRC cards. He said that Pawan Kalyan didn’t volunteer to visit farmers' families during TDP regime, even after not paying any compensation to the kin of the farmer's families, and added that Pawan visiting the districts is only to benefit Chandrababu.

He said that all political rivals have united to spread false propaganda as the nation is looking toward Andhra Pradesh and its good practices.

Speaking with regard to Ambedkar Konaseema District, the Chief Minister said that Chandrababu and Pawan duo are even politicizing by opposing the naming of Konaseema district after BR Ambedkar.

He slammed Chandrababu for farmers agitating the name of crop holiday and blamed the opposition for the violence in Amalapuram and Konaseema. He termed Konaseema as one of the peaceful places in the State and stated that anti-social elements disturbed the atmosphere.

Further, he said that the opposition should question their morale before politicizing SSC results, and discouraging the students who failed the exams. The Chief Minister stated that the government removed supplementary and compartmental options and has given students another opportunity to get through like regular students.
