YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has alleged that national parties are helping Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena Party to fight against him in the coming elections in the state.
“Today, I am fighting against TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and his foster son (Pawan Kalyan) who are directly and indirectly allied with national political parties. I am out there with only people’s support in the battlefield,” Jagan said while addressing a huge meeting of village and ward volunteers at Phirangipuram in Guntur district.
By saying national parties, Jagan is obviously hinting at the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress party.
While the BJP is likely to help the TDP-Jana Sena Party combine directly, he is suspecting that even the Congress party has joined hands with them indirectly by roping in his sister Y S Sharmila into the campaign against him and his government.
This is, perhaps, for the first time that Jagan has acknowledged the possibility of the BJP joining hands with the TDP-Jana Sena combine.
So, the chief minister wants the village and ward volunteers to help him and his party to come to power for the second time.
He asked them to become his star campaigners and also turn the people into another set of YSRCP star campaigners for bringing victory to it while thwarting the vicious and malicious propaganda of the jealous TDP and its friendly media.
He said the volunteers had been responsible for the YSRCP victory in all local bodies elections and by-elections after 2019.
“I am sure you will pave the way for its victory in 2024 elections also with your selfless service,” he told them.
“I am urging all the volunteers that if you vote for Chandrababu Naidu that instead of getting benefited by the schemes through our DBT method, you will be welcoming the Chandramukhi to your house which you have got rid of in 2019,” he said.
He pointed out that the Janmabhoomi committees were born with the aim to loot, whereas Volunteer and Sachivalayam system was are born to serve the people.
“The difference is stark clear. Janmabhoomi Committees are weeds of Ganja whereas volunteer and Sachivalayam system is holy like Tulasi,” he said.
