Naidu can love anyone, dump anyone

Naidu can love anyone, dump anyone

The statement made by Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister that his party was ready for joining hands with Jana Sena Party led by power star Pawan Kalyan, but there is no reciprocation from the other side, evoked strong reactions from various political parties.

While Jana Sena Party did not make any comment on Naidu’s statements, ruling YSR Congress party leaders have started trolling him for stooping down to forge an alliance with Pawan Kalyan. They said it clearly showed lack of confidence of Naidu on himself in winning the elections on his own.

On the other hand, Bharatiya Janata Party, which is the alliance partner of Jana Sena Party, lashed out at the TDP chief for saying that his party was in one-side love with Pawan Kalyan and that the TDP would think about alliances with any like-minded party before the elections.

Speaking to reporters, Andhra Pradesh state BJP president Somu Veerraju described Naidu as the most opportunistic politician.

“He can love anybody or dump anybody. He is well known for his use-and-throw tactics,” he said.

He alleged that the TDP chief had the habit of entering alliances with other parties before elections and after his purpose is served, he would not hesitate to severe connections with the same party. He was obviously referring to the TDP’s alliance with the BJP in 2014.

“Betraying the alliance partner is there in Naidu’s blood. He showed love towards his father-in-law and later dumped him. In 1996, he extended support to the Congress-backed Deve Gowda government at the Centre. Later, he joined hands with the BJP to win the elections. After he achieves his objective of coming to power, he will show his real colours,” the BJP state chief said.
