Mudragada facing identity crisis: TDP

Telugu Desam Party has reacted strongly to the open letter written by former minister and Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham to the party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu accusing the latter of making wild allegations against him.

“Mudragada has been hiding all these days as he is afraid of YSR Congress party and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. He is suffering from identity crisis. So, he is dashing off letters to Naidu, sitting at home, only to remind the people of his identity,” senior TDP leader and legislator N Chinna Rajappa said.

The TDP leader alleged that Mudragada, who had cheated Kapu community by making tall claims that he would get justice to Kapus and achieve reservations, had dumped them and was sitting at home, while those who fought for him were languishing in jails.

Chinna Rajappa said Kapus were very much aware of the good work done by Naidu during his regime, before and after the bifurcation of the combined state.

“It was Naidu, who established Kapu corporation and provided five per cent quota for Kapus, besides extending them financial help to go abroad for higher studies. At every stage, Mudragada created hurdles,” he alleged.

The TDP leader sought to know why Mudragada remained silent when Jagan Mohan Reddy openly declared that he would not provide any reservations for Kapus and do any favours.

“Who is he to say that Naidu would not fulfil his vow? We all stand by him and strive to bring the TDP back to power,” he asserted.
