Kumari Aunty campaigns against Kodali Nani!

Kumari Aunty campaigns against Kodali Nani!

Remember Kumari Aunty, who shot into limelight following a video of her makeshift eatery at Banjara Hills has gone viral a few months ago?

The heavy rush at her eatery, where she serves sumptuous lunch for the people at cheaper rates, forced the Hyderabad police and the municipal authorities to serve notice on her.

It finally resulted in chief minister A Revanth Reddy interfering in the matter and allowing her to continue the eatery.

Kumari Aunty also became famous with her statement to a television channel that she was grateful to Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for providing her a two-bedroom house in her village Peda Erukapadu near Gudivada in Krishna district.

The YSRCP made her interview viral in a bid to take a dig at the Telugu Desam Party.

Kumari Aunty’s business grew by leaps and bounds after the episode and a latest video of her buying a heavy gold ornament in Hyderabad also has gone viral. She continued to be a hot topic on social media.

On Friday, Kumari Aunty shot into news once again by campaigning for Telugu Desam Party candidate Venigandla Ramu in Gudivada assembly constituency against sitting YSRCP MLA and former minister Kodali Nani.

She did door-to-door campaign for Ramu and appealed to the voters to elect him, as he was a service-oriented leader.

She even compared the TDP candidate with actor Mahesh Babu in the film “Maharshi” in serving the people of the constituency.

“I am very much happy to campaign for such a leader. In the last five years, Gudivada remained underdeveloped. I am sure it will witness development only if Ramu is elected,” she said.

Kumari Aunty said she had to go to Hyderabad for survival only because there were no employment opportunities in Gudivada.

“Kodali Nani has ruined the constituency. People like me will get the employment only if the TDP is voted to power,” she said.
