Jagan woos weaker sections and women!

YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who took a revolutionary step by providing 50 per cent of his cabinet berths to SC, ST, BC and minorities soon after coming to power, has come out with yet another master stroke.

The Jagan government on Monday introduced a series of bills in the assembly to attract these weaker sections and women in a big way.

The government introduced a bill giving 50% reservations to  Backward Classes (BC), SC, ST and communities classes in nominated posts and state corporations, boards, societies, trusts and agricultural market yards. 

Similarly, a bill providing  50% reservations to  Backward Classes (BC), SC, ST and communities classes in government nominated contracts and  service contracts was introduced in General Assembly.

At the same time, a bill was introduced by the government regarding reservation of 50% of seats for women in government nominated posts.

Another bill providing  50% reservations to Women in government nominated contracts and  service contracts was introduced in the assembly.

The government also introduced a bill to set up permanent BC Commission in Andhra Pradesh.

A bill has been introduced that reserves 75 per cent of jobs for locals in all industries, including units, factories, joint ventures and projects set up under public-private partnership mode in Andhra Pradesh.
