Jagan pays Rs 5 lakh each to Olympic stars

YSR Congress party chief and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday conveyed his best wishes to Andhra Pradesh players P V Sindu, R Satwik Sairaj, and Rajani who will be participating in Tokyo Olympics 2020 from July 23 to August 8.

The chief minister also awarded Rs 5 lakh to each of the three players as a token of appreciation and wished that they bring laurels to the state and the country.

The chief minister handed over the government order (GO) copy of allotment of two acres of land to Sindhu for seting up a badminton academy in Visakhapatnam.

Rajini (women's hockey), who hails from Chittoor district has been attending training sessions in Bangalore and her parents attended the event.

Tourism, Culture and Youth Advancement Minister Muttamsettii Srinivasa Rao, Principal Secretary Ram Gopal, SAAP employees Venkata Ramana, June Galio and Ramakrishna were present on the occasion.
