Jagan once again given preference to Brahmins

Jagan once again given preference to Brahmins

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has once again given preference to the Brahmin community by appointing Dronamraju Srinivas as a chairman of Visakhapatnam Metro Region Development Authority (VMRDA).

Mr Jagan has given the ticket to four Brahmins in the recent assembly elections and two of them have won.

Dronamraju is one of them who lost the election from Visakhapatnam South assembly constituency. The other is Akramani Vijayanirmala from Visakhapatnam East assembly constituency.

Only Kona Raghupathi from Bapatla assembly constituency and Malladi Vishnu from Vijayawada Central have won it in the elections. But, the Chief Minister has honoured them by electing Kona Raghupathi as Deputy Speaker.

Now, leaving out all the leaders who were in the party from the inception in Visakhapatnam district, Mr Jagan has appointed Dronamraju as Chairman of VMRDA though he has joined the party just before elections.

This shows that Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is still trying to own the Brahmin community as much as possible.

However, this move will be hurting the leaders in the district, those who are working for the party from the beginning.
