Jagan faces first major dharna outside his house!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy faced his first major agitation programme in front of his residence in Tadepalli today.

Hundreds of women from all the districts in AP working as Arogya Mitras laid seize to Jagan's residence to protest his decision to appoint Gram Volunteers in all villages and replace Arogya Mitras with Gram Volunteers.

Women raised slogans "Jagan down down" and demanded him to immediately withdraw his decision.

They expressed anger at Jagan for trying to make them unemployed against his poll promise of providing jobs to all.

They accused Jagan of cheating Arogya Mitras by appointing Gram Volunteers within a month of coming to power.

"During his padayatra, Jagan promised job security for Arogya Mitras. Besides, he also promised payment of salaries regularly. After coming to power, instead of providing us job security, Jagan is making moves to remove us from the jobs and make us unemployed. We are not even receiving our salaries now. This is nothing but cheating us," said women, who participated in the dharna.

Police had a tough time controlling the agitating women.

Women demanded Jagan to come out of his house and give an assurance on their job security.

Though Jagan was present in the house, he did not come outside. With this, women raised slogans against Jagan and YSRCP.

Jagan is already facing protests from farmers who are agitating against YSRCP government's failure in supplying adequate seeds and fertilisers even a month after Kharif has started.

Arogya Mitras are the latest once to join agitation programmes against Jagan.
