It was Akhila show at Naidu's Allagadda rally!

The Bhuma family tried to display its dominance at the Telugu Desam Party rally – Raa Kadali Raa- at Allagadda in Nandyal district on Tuesday, which was addressed by party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Initially, Naidu tried to rope in another senior party leader A V Subba Reddy to organise the rally. He urged leaders to ensure mobilization of cadres for the event even from other constituencies, should Akhila Priya remain firm on her stand.

But former minister Bhuma Akhila Priya and his family members categorically told him that if Subba Reddy is involved, they would stay away from the meeting.

Naidu realised that the TDP rally will not be a success without the involvement of Bhuma family and so, he requested Subba Reddy to keep away from the Allagadda rally and he obliged. And it was Akhila Priya show all the way, as she demonstrated her support during the meeting.

With Subba Reddy staying away from the Ra Kadaliraa meeting in Allagadda, adhering to party directives, the internal rivalries have left the local leaders in shock as the elections are fast approaching.

The rivalry between Subba Reddy and Akhila Priya, which has been going on since the death of her father Bhuma Nagi Reddy four years ago, is reaching a new high with the elections fast approaching, creating a big headache for Naidu.

The present problems are a continuation of the physical altercation between former minister Bhuma Akhila Priya and AV Subba Reddy during Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam programme in Nandyal in May. Subsequently, Akhila Priya and her husband Bhargava Ram were arrested by the police, leading to their remand.

The longstanding family-related disputes between Akhila Priya and Subba Reddy have cast a shadow on the party electoral prospects in the region.
