I Am Perfectly Well, Says KTR

When ordinary people die of diseases and hunger, it hardly catches the attention of the media. But when a top politician or a VIP even sneezes, it becomes a big news.

The same thing happened in case of Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president and state Information Technology minister K T Rama Rao.

When the electronic media channels caught him sneezing and coughing during his visit to Rajanna-Siricilla district on Monday, it created anxious moments among his followers.

KTR, who participated in various official programmes in Siricilla, was found sneezing and cleaning his nose several times even as officials and other leaders were feeling inconvenient to be closer to him.

He was clearly seen feeling a lot of inconvenience while attending a series of programmes and interacting with officials.

When the visuals went viral in the social media, people were wondering whether KTR contracted Coronavirus. Though he might not be having any viral infection, as per the Covid-19 rules, any person having such flu-like symptoms, should undergo tests compulsorily.

But people did not dare ask him whether he had undergone any tests. One of his followers, however, picked up courage to tweet, saying he was very disturbed to see the minister down with flu symptoms in Siricilla.

“Concerned about your health. You have been a Covid warrior since the virus engulfed us, unmindful of your health. Please reassure about your health. You are our hope. Please take care,” he tweeted.

KTR replied to the tweet on Tuesday afternoon saying he was perfectly well.

“Many thanks for your concern sir. Perfectly well now. Developed an allergic cold (struggling for many years) en route to Siricilla. Didn’t want to cancel my visit suddenly as it would inconvenience many people. Apologies for any inconvenience I may have caused inadvertently,” he tweeted, in reply to his follower’s query.
