Soon after the elections to the Andhra Pradesh assembly on April 11, some pictures were doing rounds in the social media showing power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan with a clean shaven beard and neat haircut.
There were reports that Pawan had returned to his glamorous look when he visited Dasavathara Venkateshwara temple at Mangalagiri and paid obeisance to the god after the elections.
However, the pictures released by the party on the evening of polling revealed that Pawan was still sporting long hair and bushy beard and was sitting alone and listening to radio at his Mangalagiri party office with a philosophical look.
This led to the talk that Pawan was reconciled to the fact that Jana Sena Party has failed to make any impact on the electorate and it might not win even half a dozen seats.
However, those who saw Pawan Kalyan at the wedding of Keerthi Sohana, granddaughter of media baron Ch Ramoji Rao (daughter of late Ch Suman, younger son of Ramoji Rao) and Vinay, grandson of Navayuga Group of Industries chairman C V Rao, at Ramoji Film City on Saturday, were surprised.
He was still with the same old look – long hairs and bushy beard. He was seen shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries with Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, besides others.
So, one wonders whether Pawan Kalyan did not remove his beard at all, or grew it within a span of nine days. No, it is not possible. Therefore, the rumours that were spread about him and the photographs released in the past must be fake.
Let us wait and see whether Pawan will keep his look permanently or change it at least after the election results!
