'Education is a powerful tool' says CM Jagan

Recently, a group of students from government schools in Andhra Pradesh had the opportunity to visit the United States and deliver speeches at global organizations such as the UN, World Bank, IMF, Columbia University, and the White House.

This group of students, along with their parents, met Chief Minister YS Jagan at the camp office in Tadepalli yesterday. During their interaction with the CM, the students enthusiastically shared their experiences from the trip. The students expressed their joy and gratitude to CM Jagan for the government's support in visiting these world-renowned organizations.

They noted that CM Jagan's vision had enabled them to realize the dream of visiting the UN, which was once an unthinkable opportunity for them. They also mentioned that they had the chance to learn many valuable things during their visit to the USA.

They told CM that the educational reforms and programs implemented in Andhra Pradesh had garnered significant attention and interest from the representatives of these global institutions.

Chief Minister YS Jagan was particularly impressed by the students' communication skills and praised their remarkable talents. Seeking more details about the trip, he learned that 126 students, who had achieved the highest scores in their 10th standard examinations across the state, were meticulously selected.

They underwent language proficiency assessments in addition to written examinations, ultimately resulting in the selection of the top 10 students. CM Jagan addressed the students, emphasizing that their experiences during this trip would foster greater aspirations to study at some of the world's finest universities.

He stressed that these experiences would provide valuable insights into how they can navigate the rapidly changing world. He encouraged the students to dream big, even if they came from humble beginnings, and to view education as the ultimate tool for realizing those dreams.

CM noted that, students securing admission to the top 351 global universities would receive complete financial support from the government, with fees up to ₹1.25 crores. CM Jagan urged students to start preparing for such opportunities early, mentioning that TOEFL courses were already available at the school level, with plans to introduce GRE and GMAT courses in the near future.

The Chief Minister commended the Education Department officials for the successful execution of the visit. Pandugayala Ratnakar, the Special Representative of the AP Government in North America, presented Chief Minister YS Jagan with a memento from the White House to commemorate this memorable occasion.
