Devansh To Study In Telangana Or Andhra?

Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s grandson Nara Devansh Naidu began learning his basics in education on Friday.

Naidu’s family performed “Akshrabhyasam” for Devansh at the famous Jnana Saraswati temple at Basara, on the banks of Godavari river in Nizamabad district in the presence of Vedic pundits.

Though Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh did not attend the programme, his wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari, daughter-in-law Nara Brahmani, her mother Vasundhara (wife of senior actor and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna) and other relatives attended the ceremony.

The temple authorities accorded grand welcome to Naidu’s family members and others and performed the Aksharabhyasam ceremony for Devansh following due procedure.

Though Lokesh did not attend the ceremony, his co-son-in-law M V Bharat and his wife Tejaswini (Balakrishna’s second daughter) were also present on the occasion. They performed Aksharabhyasam for their son Aryan at the same time.

Devansh’s Akshrabhyasam ceremony kicked up an interesting debate in the media circles as to whether he would study in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.

His father Lokesh and grandfather N Chandrababu Naidu have been struggling to bring their party TDP back to power in Andhra.

When he was the chief minister, Naidu, quite often, announced to make Andhra capital Amaravati as a world-class city and develop it as an educational hub.

Now that he has lost power and Amaravati is most likely to be dumped by the Jagan government, it is doubtful the TDP chief will get his grandson educated in Andhra.

Since Naidu himself prefers to come to Hyderabad for weekends and Brahmani operates her business activities here, Devansh may have to do his schooling in Hyderabad itself!
