CBI Court To Hear Raghurama Petition on Aug 25

CBI Court To Hear Raghurama Petition on Aug 25

The CBI court had posted MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju’s petition to August 25 seeking cancellation of Vijayasai Reddy’s bail.

The court, which took up the petition for hearing on Monday postponed the hearing as advocates from all sides wanted adjournment.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju, who has been voicing against the party leadership, had already filed a similar petition seeking cancellation of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bail.

The two petitions would now come up for hearing on August 25.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju alleged that both Jagan Mohan Reddy and Vijayasai Reddy were influencing the witnesses in the CBI and ED cases.

He also said that the two leaders have violated the bail conditions and were not eligible to stay on bail.

The CBI had sought several adjournments on Jagan Mohan Reddy’s case, which was posted to August 25.

The CBI is not as active now as it was in the Congress government, when it had appointed a designated joint director to look into the case.

The BJP appears not as hard as the Congress leadership against Jagan Mohan Reddy, which had kept him in the jail for 16 months, even before the trial was started in the court.

While Raghurama Krishnam Raju is confident of the court cancelling the bails of both Jagan Mohan Reddy and Vijayasai Reddy, the YSR Congress ranks are equally confident of the continuation of the bail.

It is to be seen what would the court do when it takes up the two petitions on August 25.
