Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has made sensational allegations against Karimnagar Police Commissioner Ghaus Alam, accusing him of abuse of power and involvement in illegal activities.
The Huzurabad MLA demanded that legal action be initiated against the Commissioner within 15 days. Failing which, he warned of releasing alleged secret videos and other evidence in his possession.
Kaushik Reddy alleged that the Commissioner had stationed an Innova Crysta car in Hyderabad and assigned district constables as drivers for private purposes.
He claimed the vehicle was being used to ferry the father of an IRS officer, Vikas Agarwal, to NIMS Hospital daily.
“For a normal civilian, a government vehicle and two constables have been deployed for eight months. The vehicle has been operating near the DGP office apartments. Is DGP Shivadhar Reddy aware or not?” he questioned.
The MLA further alleged large-scale financial collections by the Commissioner and warned that he possesses video and photographic evidence.
“This is only a trailer. If you don’t set things right within 15 days, I will show the videos to chief minister Revanth Reddy in the assembly. If that does not work, I will release them at the assembly media point,” he said.
He added that out of respect for IPS and IAS officers he had refrained from releasing material so far, but warned that continued inaction would force him to go public.
