AP Elections 2024: One Sided War In Tuni

The situation in Tuni of Kakinada district is being described as a one-sided war.

Yanamala Divya Bari, daughter of former minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu is representing TDP, while Dadishetti Raja is contesting from YCP, also serving as a minister in Jagan's cabinet.

Despite Yanamala Ramakrishna's efforts to maintain control over Tuni, circumstances are unfavorable for him.

Yanamala Ramakrishnudu marginalized his younger brother Krishnudu politically, who lost twice consecutively in the 2014 and 2019 elections.

Consequently, Ramakrishnudu introduced his daughter Divya into politics, strategically distancing himself from Krishnudu attributing to his tarnished reputation.

Even if Divya loses, there's speculation that Krishnudu has been kept away to clear the path for her future candidacy.

Moreover, Seshagiri, a loyal member of the Yanamala family and a follower of Krishnudu has also been estranged from them which resulted in facing political setbacks.

Feeling neglected and unappreciated, many Kapu caste members, including Seshagiri, have left TDP and joined YCP side.

Additionally, 500 families of Krishnudu's followers have joined YCP in Tuni, further weakening support for the Yanamala family.

Consequently, the debate about the one-sided nature of the political battle in Tuni has emerged, suggesting a high likelihood of another defeat for the Yanamala family.
