AP Deputy CM Pushpa Srivani Tests Covid 19 Positive

Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Pamula Pushpa Srivani was tested Covid 19 positive on Monday.

She was admitted into a private hospital at Visakhapatnam and being treated.

Sources say that Srivani’s husband, Parikshit Raju, who is also president of the YSR Congress Araku Lok Sabha constituency, was tested positive too.

It was Tadikonda MLA Undavalli Sridevi, who was tested positive and was treated successfully last week.

Pushpa Srivani was elected to AP Assembly on the YSR Congress ticket in the 2019 general elections from Kurupam Assembly constituency in Vizianagaram district.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had made her the deputy chief minister holding the portfolio of Tribal Welfare since June 2019.

Pushpa Srivani was active during the first phase of the Covid 19 when the lockdown was imposed across the state.

The deputy chief minister helped several hundreds of the poor people in Visakhapatnam and dozens of the migrant labours walking on the highways.

She used to cook food and serve them along with her family members during those critical days.
