AP Breaking Its Own Records In Covid Death Toll!

Notwithstanding the claims being made by the Andhra Pradesh government on the steps being taken to contain the Coronavirus spread, the state continues to report huge number of positive cases and fatalities due to the dreaded virus.

The state, which had recorded the highest-ever number of deaths – 37 on a single day on Monday, broke its own record on Tuesday with 43 deaths in a span of 24 hours.

Anantapur seems to be exploding in terms of deaths – it reported as many as 10 deaths in a single day, followed by nine in West Godavari, five each in Chittoor, East Godavari and Kadapa, three each in Kurnool and Prakasam, two in Visakhapatnam and one in Vizianagaram.

There were as many as 1908 positive cases for Covid-19 in Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative number of positive cases to 33019. Kurnool continues to top the list with 3823 cases, followed by 3651 in Anantapur, 3356 in Guntur, 3115 in East Godavari and 3074 in Chittoor.

While Krishna registered 2744 cases, West Godavari 2026 cases. Except Vizianagaram which has 832 cases, all the other districts have already crossed 1,000-mark.

As of now, 15,144 patients are still in hospitals, whereas 17467 patients have been discharged after being cured.
