Andhra Pradesh Govt Takes Over Sangam Dairy

Days after former TDP MLA Dhulipala Narendra was sent to jail on charges of corruption and misappropriation of public property, the AP government had issued orders taking back the dairy. 

The government had now placed the dairy under the control of the AP Dairy Development Corporation.

The government had also placed the dairy under the day to day supervision of Tenali sub-collector.

The sub-collector was even authorised to take legal action against anyone who obstructs the government’s intervention.

Meanwhile, the ACB court had admitted a quash petition filed by Dhulipala Narendra on all ACB cases filed against him.

Narendra is currently in Rajamahendravaram central jail serving the 14-day judicial remand.

The ACB had filed a 28-page charge sheet against Dhulipalla listing out the irregularities that the Sangam Dairy had indulged in during the last five years of the TDP regime. 

The ACB, in its report, declared that there is prima facie material evidence with respect to connivance of the then Chairman with the then Managing Director and other officials of Guntur District Milk Producers Mutually Aided Cooperative Union Limited.

The then District Cooperative Officer, Guntur in getting transfer of10 acres of government land in the name of a trust set up in memory of his late father.
