All in the family in Andhra administration?

Serious allegations are doing the rounds in Andhra Pradesh political and government circles that a senior minister in the ruling coalition has allegedly brought his family members directly into unofficial administrative and financial operations.

Party insiders claim that since the coalition government came to power, governance is being driven by a fixed agenda, with even companies facing serious scam allegations allegedly being given preferential treatment.

What has triggered intense discussion is the claim that the minister has reportedly assigned informal “portfolios” to his two sons.

According to these allegations, one son is said to be handling bills and financial clearances, while the other is allegedly overseeing mining-related affairs.

Sources claim this arrangement has been in place for several months and that an office has even been set up in Hyderabad to manage these activities.

Despite projecting an image of integrity in public, the minister is alleged to be orchestrating high-level dealings behind the scenes.

TDP circles also claim that even while in the Opposition, he had reportedly engaged in settlements with the then ruling party.

It is further alleged that after inducting his sons, the minister sidelined long-time associates and converted the entire operation into a “family package.”

Sources claim he has formed an internal team with select officials in the CMO to ensure smooth execution of his interests.

While progress in his official department is reportedly slow, officials allege his personal dealings move at remarkable speed, raising concerns about misuse of power.
