Jana Sena Party chief and power star Pawan Kalyan has been lying low for quite some.
Except occasional tweets and media statements, there have hardly been any instances of the Jana Sena Party chief going into people to know their problems in the recent past.
May be because of Coronavirus pandemic and also his busy film shooting schedules, Pawan did not find an occasion to go into the people to understand their issues.
It is only recently that he has started making public appearances, but even then, he has maintained a very low profile.
But on Friday, Pawan put up an aggressive posture while calling on the farmers who were badly affected by latest Cyclone Nivar in Nellore and Chittoor districts braving heavy rains.
He was angry with YSR Congress party cadres who tried to obstruct his tour in these districts.
He called upon his party activists to launch a counter-attack if any YSRC cadre obstructs his tour in the cyclone-affected areas.
“It is not correct to stall my tour aimed at understanding the farmers’ problems. Our cadres are ready to launch a counter-attack. If you want to face our cadres, then, come and stop me from touring,” he warned.
He also expressed ire at the police authorities for not preventing the YSR Congress party workers from stalling his tour.
“I have also come from a family of policeman. Some policemen are taking the side of YSRC cadre. If they don’t change their attitude, I will revolt strongly. I remember each and every police man’s name,” he threatened.
Stating that Andhra Pradesh is not the personal “jagir” of YSRC, the Jana Sena chief said he had a lot of affinity towards Nellore and Chittoor.
He demanded that the state government should extend compensation of Rs 35,000 per acre to every farmer who was affected by the cyclone.
