Telugu film actor, R Narayana Murthy, known for Left-ideology based films, hailed AP chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The actor, who keeps off from politicians, had some good words for Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He thanked Jagan Mohan Reddy for sanctioning Rs 470 crore for linking of Eleru-Tandava canals in East Godavari and Visakhapatnam districts.
The actor said that he had sent the proposal through MLA Dadisetti Raja, as the north Andhra, despite several rivers, streams and canals, was starving for water.
He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had responded positively to the proposal and sanctioned the work by allocating funds.
The project would provide irrigation water to Eleswaram, Prathipadu, Sankhavaram, Routhulapudi and Kota Nanduru mandals in East Godavari district and Nathavaram, Narsipatnam and Kota Uruta mandals in Visakhapatnam district.
Narayana Murthy, who hails from East Godavari district, had special concern for agriculture in his home district.
He also has special love for the North Andhra region, because of its backwardness and its support to the Left movements, including the revolutionary Left.
