Ram Gopal Varma who is busy with 'Lakshmi's NTR' has produced 'Bhairava Geetha' with a Kannada star. The film was postponed several times and is finally in theaters today.

Let’s see how the film has fared up.

Story:
In Rayalaseema, Subbareddy's daughter Geetha(Irra Mor) is in love with his father's henchman Bhairava(Dhanunjaya).

Bhairava is not aware of her love initially but her dad comes to know and he plots to kill Bhairava. Soon Bhairava starts loving her and both of them elope to save themselves from Subbareddy's men.

Rest of the drama what problems they face along the way.

Artistes’ Performances:
Kannada actor Dhanunjaya exudes rawness that is required for his role, and Irra Mor is beautiful and has exposed skin. She also indulged in lip locks liberally.

Other actors are mostly newcomers but they are natural.

Technical Excellence:
The film is shot with good technical values. Cinematography is main asset of the movie. The cameraman has captured rough terrain of Rayalaseema aesthetically. Background score is apt. Editing is uneven.

Highlights:
Technicianns' work
Rawness

Drawback:
Old story
Routine sequences
Too much of gore and violence
Boring narration

Analysis
The basic story is quite old and routine. Very recently, RGV's assistant Ajay Bhupathi made a movie "RX100" with similar plot - a girl falling in love with his father's henchman.

While "RX100" explores desire and a woman's dark side, this is plain and simple story set in early 1990s.

The film begins with RGV's voice over and gives glimpse of what the film is all about. The initial portions are handled quite well.

The Rayalaseema's milieu has made it an interesting watch in the beginning episodes. But, it becomes repetitive after a point and there is no emotional connect to their love story that happens all of a sudden and quickly. The film explores how feudal lords treat people from low caste but it is superficial.

Despite many scenes of lip locks, the romance lacks appealing and engaging enough.

The interval bang and some moments in the first half are good but post-interval it runs in boring manner and after a while it tests the patience.

The new director has lacked skills to narrate in gripping way in the second half as the story is too thin.

Overall, "Bhairava Geetha" doesn't offer anything new except some interesting shots in the beginning and some raw passion

Bottomline: Raw(kta) Love!
