Kota Sreenivasa Rao is known for his boundless ambition while he was about to enter film industry. He was working in State Bank of Hyderabad, Narayanaguda holding lot of interest and experience of acting in stage dramas. He heard that a film writer was residing in a house opposite to his bank. He went to him and introduced himself. He asked to recommend him for any director to appear in films.
The writer promised and Kota used to visit him almost every alternate days. (It's something like Kamal Hassan pestering JV Somayajulu in 'Swathi Muthyam' after taking promise from him). The writer got pestered and shouted on Kota many times. But still Kota continued his regular visits. Kota's ambition left deaf ear for all those shouts. Thus he made big impact on the writer.
When the same writer's subject was approved for making a film in the production of Kranthi Kumar, Kota received a call. The writer stood on his word and gave a role for Kota in that film. The film is 'Pranam Khareedu' and the writer is CS Rao. It was the debut of both Kota Sreenivasa Rao and Chiranjeevi. That's how Kota grabbed his debut.
