Anyone who is into Telugu movies does not require an introduction to the film 'Pokiri' and the hysteria that it had created. This Mahesh Babu- Ileana starrer had catapulted the director Puri Jagannath into a totally different league and today he is one of the most highly paid and sought after man.
Here is the story of how Puri got the title for his blockbuster hit, apparently he was watching the film 'Murari' starring Mahesh again and there is a song in the film that goes 'Ekkada Ekkada Ekkada Undho Taaraka…' and in one of those lines there is a phrase which ends with the word 'Pokiri'.
For some reason, Puri latched on to that word and it had been running on his mind since quite a while to use it somewhere. So when he designed the story for his forthcoming venture, he ended up using 'Pokiri' for the title and the rest as they say is history. Some things see light only off-late
