Yash's Toxic Postponed Indefinitely

Yash's Toxic Postponed Indefinitely

“Toxic,” starring Kannada superstar Yash, has reportedly run into production issues.

The film was originally announced for an Ugadi 2026 release, with Yash and his team locking the date more than a year ago.

To avoid a box office clash, even top Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali rescheduled his film “Love and War” to a later date.

However, “Toxic” seems to have hit a rough patch.

According to reports, Yash is not entirely happy with the portions shot so far by director Geetu Mohandas. Known for her sensible and artistic filmmaking, Geetu’s approach reportedly didn’t align with Yash’s mass-action image.

The KGF star, who enjoys a pan-Indian following, is said to be reworking the film to include more mass and commercial elements.

As a result, the project has been postponed indefinitely.

With Toxic unlikely to make it to theaters on Ugadi, Adivi Sesh has now locked his film “Dacoit” for the same date.

This postponement also benefits upcoming Telugu pan-India releases “Peddi” and “The Paradise,” both eyeing the March 26 window.

Without Yash’s film in competition, these projects will likely secure more screens in Karnataka.
