Peddi is a film starring Ram Charan, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The song “Chikiri…” composed by A R Rahman became widely popular nationwide in multiple languages.
However, the content and overall flavor of the film are purely local. The film is set to release on March 27.
On the other hand, Dhurandhar 2 is hitting screens on March 19. Its first part was a huge blockbuster, and therefore the traction for the second part is expected to be much bigger than anticipated.
Amidst this, Yash’s Toxic is also releasing on March 19. The glimpse of the film was released a few days ago, and Gen Z audiences are going frenzy about it.
Of course, films that lure audiences with glimpses may sometimes fizzle out with subsequent promotional material. Even if everything works well, the content must truly resonate with the audience.
However, Dhurandhar 2 is a definite competition, and Toxic is also a potential hurdle for Peddi to outshine amid these two films.
Though there is an eight-day gap between Peddi and the other two films, it remains to be seen whether it will affect the box office performance of the former.
Moreover, Dhurandhar 2 is releasing in Telugu as well this time, not just as a Hindi film like the first part.
