When will Siddhu face the truth amid all the praise?

Siddu Jonnalagadda starrer “Telusu Kada” is a flop, and there is no ambiguity about it.

Among the Diwali releases, “Dude” grossed ₹12 crore (net) in Telugu states during its first week, while “K-Ramp” collected ₹10 crore in just five days.

In comparison, “Telusu Kada” managed only around ₹8 crore (net) in its first week, making it the lowest performer among the festive releases.

Despite these poor numbers, the team recently held a “success celebration.”

At the event, guests like Kona Venkat, SKN, and BVS Ravi heaped praise on the film, creating an impression that Siddhu Jonnalagadda had delivered another hit.

They called it a “radical” film, with Kona Venkat even saying that Hrithik Roshan took 12 films to move past the hangover of “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai,” but Siddhu did it in just two films after “DJ Tillu.”

The reality, however, is different. With two consecutive flops, “Jack” and “Telusu Kada,” Siddhu has yet to prove that he can command strong openings or sustain box office momentum on his own.

The blockbuster success of “Tillu Square” had more to do with the franchise’s brand appeal and timing than Siddhu’s solo power.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda is undoubtedly a talented and creative actor, but unless he acknowledges the ground reality that “Telusu Kada” could not even match the opening of a dubbed release, he risks damaging his career trajectory.

It is time for him to reassess his choices and pick scripts that truly make use of his strengths.
