On Thursday, Telugu TV news channels broke the news that veteran actor and senior BJP leader U Krishnam Raju was appointed as the governor of the state of Tamilnadu.
However, Krishnam Raju didn’t get an official confirmation from either the Union Ministry or Rashtrapathi Bhavan at the time of writing this.
He is said to be “waiting for appointment order from the President.” His name was also considered for the last time. But his name was dropped at the last minute. Hence, Raju is not celebrating prematurely.
Krishnam Raju, who also served as the Union Minister in the Vajpayee government, belongs to the influential Raju community.
His nephew Prabhas is one of India’s biggest superstars. Krishnam Raju is also presenting Prabhas’s upcoming movie, Radhe Shyam.
The senior star is optimistic that he would get the governor’s post this time.
