What A Full Circle Journey For Vyjayanthi Movies!

After a quiet phase, Vyjayanthi Movies, led by Aswani Dutt, made a strong comeback with Yevade Subramanyam in 2015. This soulful adventure drama broke away from commercial formulas and signalled a shift toward content-driven cinema.

The real breakthrough came in 2018 with Mahanati, a biopic on the legendary Savitri. Co-produced with Swapna Cinema, it became a critical and commercial triumph, earning national awards and reigniting the charm of classic Telugu storytelling.

In 2021, Jathi Ratnalu brought audiences back to theatres post-COVID with its full-on entertainment. Then came Sita Ramam in 2022, a heartwarming period love story praised for its writing, music, performances, and visuals.

Vyjayanthi’s boldest project yet, Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, pushed the boundaries of Indian cinema and became one of its highest-grossing films.

By 2024, Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema showed their dominance with a series of hits. Today a monumental feet is recognized at the Gaddar Awards 2024, where they swept major honors for Mahanati, Sita Ramam, and Kalki 2898 AD, winning across key categories like Best Picture, Director, Actor, and Cinematography.

Their journey came full circle, in 10 years from winning a Nandi Award for Yevade Subramanyam in 2014 to leading Telugu cinema into a bold new era with Kalki
