Suryadevara Naga Vamshi, the producer releasing War 2 in Telugu, spoke very highly about the film at its pre-release event.
He said it’s not like “NTR going to Bollywood,” but rather “Hrithik coming to Tollywood.” He emphasized that it is a proper Telugu film with perfect lip-sync for the dialogues.
He also appealed to fans to make the Telugu version’s net collections bigger than the Hindi version.
In fact, he expressed a personal wish to see the Telugu version earn at least one rupee more in net collections than Hindi. He encouraged fans to break the records of Devara.
Vamshi assured that the film will not disappoint. He even promised that if it does disappoint, he would never again hold a microphone and request people to watch a film. His confidence in the product was evident throughout his speech.
War 2 is set to release on August 14. So far, the Hindi version’s openings have been poor, and it needs to pick up momentum. The Telugu version has tough vie from Coolie.
