Director Ram Gopal Varma is highly successful in choosing concepts that generate curiosity among the audience.
He is doing it again with his upcoming film 'Power Star'.
Ahead of 'Power' Star release, RGV gave an exclusive interview to GreatAndhra. He spoke about the movie and its concept, answered all the questions in his typical style.
Gaddi Thinatava Song:
The lyrics of the song are penned by me. Power Star is a completely fictional character. The lead character in my film loves buffaloes, cows, trees. So, he affectionately sings a song on them. What is wrong in loving animals? Buffalo is also a living being, right?
The reason for choosing a buffalo is that it is different from a cow. It is kind of 'black lives matter', we shouldn't discriminate a buffalo because it is black. We drink buffalo milk but we love cows. Isn't it wrong? My protagonist loves his animals.
Response For Power Star film:
I don't know why people are drawing comparisons to real-life people. He is a film star but fails in elections after floating a political party.
What is his mental state, how his close associates react to the development is the story. Power Star is a fictional character and the movie is fictional.
The reason for the good response to the film is because of the power of the stars.

There are speculations going on regarding my next film. But I am not going to talk about the details now.
Attacks from angry fans:
Barking dogs never bite. No one has the time to go to a person, threaten him. I am a citizen of the country. I am well within my rights to make a film.
Other than shouting in the YouTube channels, talking on phones they can do nothing.
About the importance of 25:
There is no importance to 25. I don't know what is it about. I have never heard about Pavala. I don't know what it means. It is you mentioned that word and you have to tell me the meaning. I have been telling you right from the beginning that my work is a fiction. You are saying it is a real-life character, and saying about Pavala. Why would I know these things?
Parannajeevi:
I don't even know the meaning of Parannajeevi. I don't know about the film. It means parasite, as someone told. It suits me 100%. Parasite means it depends on others for survival. In that way, we both are parasites. Greatandhra depends on others, I depend on others.
Everybody depends on others. No one can survive without depending on others. So everybody in the world is a parasite. That's the reason why Korean film 'Parasite' was awarded the best film at Academy awards.
