Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 is showing slow advance booking numbers at the USA box office. In fact, it is far behind Jr NTR’s last release Devara and nowhere close to Ram Charan’s Game Changer.
In the last 24 hours, the film saw its biggest jump so far in pre-sales — but that “biggest” growth was only 20%. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 hits theatres on August 14.
So far in the USA, the film has grossed $398K in advance bookings for premiere day, with 14.8K tickets sold across 1.8K shows. This is up from $331K the previous day.
When compared to Game Changer, War 2 has managed just 60% of the latter’s final premiere pre-sales. Ram Charan’s film had registered a strong $657.9K.
Adding to the challenge, War 2 is clashing with Rajinikanth’s Coolie 2 at the box office. The Superstar’s film has already earned more than four times War 2’s advance collections.
