War 2 Teaser Sparks Plagiarism Debate Online

The recently released teaser of War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, grabbed massive attention but also stirred controversy.

While fans praised Hrithik’s intense performance as Kabir, many criticized the film’s VFX as underwhelming for such a high-profile project.

The bigger uproar, however, came from a viral video comparing one of Hrithik’s action scenes — where he spins a sword-like weapon — to a similar moment from Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay’s 2017 film Bairavaa.

Netizens accused the makers of copying the scene, sparking widespread debate.

Some pointed out that the action director Anl Arasu had worked on both films, possibly explaining the resemblance.

Others noted that similar shots appear in other movies like Beast. Fans of Vijay strongly defended him, urging not to compare Indian heroes unfairly.

Despite the backlash, War 2’s producers have not commented on the plagiarism claims or the VFX criticism.

The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is slated for release on August 14 and remains one of the most eagerly awaited sequels in the YRF Spy Universe.
