At present, only two Telugu songs are ruling social media, YouTube, and Instagram Reels — and both belong to the Mega family.
The first is “Meesala Pilla”, featuring Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara. The song from “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu” was released last month and continues to trend on YouTube, driven by its massive popularity among reel creators.
Interestingly, “Meesala Pilla” was initially trolled online, but it gradually struck a chord with the masses and became a staple at local events and celebrations.
Now, Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan is also creating similar waves. Having recently shed the “Global Star” tag and embraced his original title “Mega Powerstar,” Ram Charan’s first song from “Peddi” is trending across platforms.
The A.R. Rahman composition has topped YouTube charts in nearly 13 countries. Despite a mixed initial response, the song’s reach and repeat value have turned it into a viral sensation.
It’s quite rare to see a father and son dominating the music charts simultaneously, each setting the internet abuzz with their own blockbuster tracks.
