Rashmika Mandanna’s “The Girlfriend” has turned out to be a profitable venture in the USA, thanks to strong weekday collections and Tuesday deals.
The film had a decent first weekend, but its weekday hold surprised everyone.
After grossing $382K over the weekend, it added $57K on Monday and crossed the $100K mark on Tuesday. With a total of around $542K, the film has comfortably entered the profit zone.
The break-even target was $400K, meaning it’s now yielding solid returns for its distributors.
Meanwhile, the small-budget film “The Pre Wedding Show” also benefited from Tuesday deals, inching close to the $100K mark.
The re-release of Shiva 4K made a strong impact too, collecting about $20K from its premiere shows.
