Top 5: 'Nanna' On Top While 'Animal' Still Roars

Top 5: 'Nanna' On Top While 'Animal' Still Roars

1. Hi Nanna: The collections of this film are terrific in the USA, marking another big blockbuster for Nani overseas.

The performance at the multiplexes in Hyderabad is also impressive, but the turnout in other centers is not equally noteworthy.

While this Nani-Mrunal Thakur film has found success with the class and urban audience, it hasn't resonated as much with the rest of the crowds.

2. Extra Ordinary Man: This much-hyped film, which pulled the attention of the audience with the trailer, has disappointed with the actual film.

The first-day openings were good, but it has declined with subsequent shows.

On the whole, this Nithiin starrer failed to hold the attention and interest of the audience due to bad word of mouth after the release day.

3. Animal: This film is still holding the audience due to its intensity in narrative. However, the Hindi version and Telugu version are equally performing well even after the second weekend.

Overall, the film grossed Rs 720 Cr worldwide when putting all the languages together. Trade analysts suggest that the film would eventually surpass Rs 800 Cr, mainly with the contribution from the Hindi version alone.

The Telugu version was bought at Rs 15 Cr and it is hitting the overall collection if Rs 40Cr-45Cr which can be called a blockbuster.

We have to see what the final figure will be with all the languages combined at the end of the full run.

4. Sam Bahadur: This Hindi film, which was made as a biopic of India's Field Marshal SHFJ Maneckshah based on the 1971 Indo-Pak war, was released in theaters but received a poor response overall.

There were no takers for this decent film amidst the noise of 'Animal'. Vicky Kaushal gave an impeccable performance in the title role, but the traction from the audience is minimal.

5. Wonka: Released this week, this Hollywood film didn't gain much traction. The movie features the renowned Rowan Atkinson, also known as Mr. Bean, in a role.

Written and directed by Paul King and starring Timothee Chalamet, the film is based on the extraordinary character from Roald Dahl's most iconic children's book, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."

"Wonka" tells the wondrous story of how the world's greatest inventor, magician, and chocolate-maker evolved into the beloved Willy Wonka we know today.
