Thought Provoking Talk By Yatra#2 Maker Mahi

Mahi V Raghav, the writer and director of the upcoming film "Yatra 2," has provided an exclusive interview to Greatandhra.com, sharing his insights on the fictional elements in filmmaking.

He also discussed various interesting aspects related to how he approaches film production and the thoughts that drive him to create a film.

He mentioned, "I cannot read and write Telugu, but I still write dialogues. I have limited knowledge of the language, which I believe is helping me keep things simpler."

Mahi V Raghav also explained the reason for titling the biopic of YS Rajasekhara Reddy as 'Yatra' instead of the more catchy title 'YSR,' citing the leader's popularity among the masses.

Discussing his filmmaking process, he stated, "I am an intuitive storyteller. I go by gut feeling. I don't have any calculations or doubts once I am convinced to narrate something."

He highlighted an interesting aspect, noting that a politician's biopic differs from that of a film star or a sports star due to potential hatred from a section of society. When it comes to politicians, one must be prepared for hatred, trolls, or negative campaigns from netizens while attempting a biopic.

Mahi V Raghav, who is set to release "Yatra 2" on February 8th, shared several intriguing insights during the interview.

The film has Mammootty playing the role of YSR and Jiiva playing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Mahesh Manjrekar is portraying the character of Chandrababu Naidu while German actress Suzanne Bernert who also worked in many Hindi, Marathi and Bengali films is appearing as Sonia Gandhi.
