But when you look closely at the lives of some of these “silent” actresses, it is stunning. One such example is actress Gayatri Joshi.
Gayatri Joshi is not a mainstream star, and her name may not immediately ring a bell. In fact, she acted in only one film; Shah Rukh Khan’s Swades. That single movie was her first and last in Bollywood.
During the time of Swades, businessman Vikas Oberoi was extremely impressed by her. Using his connections, he got close to Gayatri.
Vikas studied at Harvard Business School, trained as a pilot, and later entered his father’s business empire.
Gayatri liked him too, and in 2005, the two got married. After marriage, Gayatri joined Vikas in managing their real estate business operations.
Over the last 20 years, their combined wealth has grown to a staggering ₹60,000 crore.
Vikas often says that after Gayatri entered his life, everything started falling into place. The couple now have two sons, who will eventually inherit their massive empire worth ₹60,000 crore.
So, with just one film in her career, Gayatri Joshi stepped away from cinema and now lives a life of extraordinary luxury; far beyond the reach of even today’s top actresses.
