Teja Sajja’s Mirai and Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas’s Kishkindhapuri are set for a box office clash on September 12.
While the lead actors have maintained silence over the competition, their producers seem to be taking indirect digs.
Producer Sahu Garapati today remarked that “time will tell which film will suffer due to the clash,” hinting that Mirai could be the one to take the hit.
He exuded confidence that Bellamkonda and Anupama Parameswaran’s ghost thriller Kishkindhapuri would connect well with audiences.
The clash was triggered after the makers of Mirai shifted their release date at the last minute, colliding with Kishkindhapuri. Sahu’s comments highlight the strained relations among producers in the industry.
For both heroes, this release carries weight. Teja Sajja needs Mirai to sustain his pan-Indian image, while Bellamkonda is desperate for a much-needed success to revive his career.
