In a shocking development, actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide by hanging himself on Sunday at his residence in Mumbai.
The police have started an investigation regarding the death of 34-year-old actor, said Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Sharma.
Expressing grief over the sudden demise of his nephew. Sushant Singh Rajput's maternal uncle has alleged that the actor has been murdered and appealed for a CBI probe into the incident from the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi, ETV Bharat reported.
"This is a case of murder. The youth of Bihar and the Rajput Mahasabha demands a CBI enquiry into the incident. We demand a CBI enquiry from Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi into the murder," said ETV Bharat quoted Sushant Singh Rajput's maternal uncle RC Singh as saying.
